So, I'm gonna give this a try....

Alright, so I'm gonna give this a try....I do have some slight wierdness about blogging, I figure, what the hell.

The name: TechieSidhe - yes, I got a real name. Not posting it. Those of you who need to know that already know. Call me TechieSidhe in public, I'll just ignore you. I answered to Midoryn, but that's from a long time ago. The sad part is, if you yelled it at FPG, I'd turn around. That's from a part of my life I haven't publicised. (No, not THAT, you pervs.)

The game: Being a wage mage. Yep, technomagick for pay. (If my boss is reading this, I LOVE MY JOB! Really, I do! Although a raise might be lovely...) I make stuff work, or curse at it until it decides to work on it's own out of fear.

The OTHER game: Most of you who read this know me from someplace other than that place that pays my bills. I am a random encounter in the Phoenix Council Dungeons and Dragons (PCD&D) manual. Get a 42 on a D100 and you get me to show up. Neat huh? All I ask is that you don't try to find out how many hit points I have.

The PCD&D manual would also tell you that I'm a Slacker Buddhist Pagan who dabbles in Pastafarianism (RAMMMEEENNN). While my primary diety is the Buddha, (yea, he wasn't a diety, but keep listening.), I believe more in a universal energy, with diety as an emanation of the universal energy. I am not one for subscribing to any formal magick system, hence, the slacker part.

I'm still working out that faith deal. I seriously have some respect for people who have faith. Not just faith, but FAITH. Believing in something you can't see completely. I have a hard time doing this. I never really had any to begin with, I think, and that damn degree in Religious Studies fried my brain the rest of the way. Not the fault of the degree programs, but my own wetware circuits that have a hard time with the programming. I have a whole post about this coming, but now's not the time.

Blogging is going to be very hard for me. If anyone watches me write an email, I very carefully choose my words for both the general effect and the effect I have on others. I am also VERY careful about how much to reveal to people. So, we'll just have to see how this goes, shall we?

To end this:

"It's all interpretation,
To find the truth, you gotta read between the lines.
Work out your own salvation,
That narrow path is hardly defined,
Heaven's more than a place, it's a state of mind."
- Diamond Rio (It's all in your head)
